Perth Accessibility Meetup Group

Your chance to learn and share about web accessibility in a casual environment is back for 2023. We’re having a mixed online and in-person event – come and join accessibility professionals, students, developers, designers and managers as we learn how to make digital products accessible to everyone.

Amanda Mace is AbleDocs’ Vice President for Australasia. In this role, she manages the Australasia office while growing and promoting the AbleDocs brand across the region. Amanda is Co-Chair of the Australian Accessibility Web Accessibility Initiative (OZeWAI). She’s also one of only two Australian-based W3C evangelists and the W3C Australian Western Region office manager.

Janina Sajka is going to tell us about the changes and updates at the W3C. Ms. Janina Sajka’s career today is focussed primarily on the accessibility implications and opportunities of web standards development in the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) where she Co-Chairs the W3C’s Accessible Platforms Working Group. She continues to take on consulting projects for major technology behemoths like Amazon, as well as for small but innovative enterprises like Userway.org and Accessibility Australia Ltd.
